A Healthy Breakfast to Prevent Hangover

Dehydration is the cause of many hangover symptoms, but drinking depletes you in a few other ways, too.

If you can’t stomach a full meal, start with a banana smoothie. The creamy texture will go down easily and bananas are an excellent source of potassium.

Research scientist Colin Wilson tells the Independent, “Frequent peeing expels salts and potassium that are necessary for proper nerve and muscle function. When levels of these get too low, headaches, fatigue and nausea can result.”

Coconut water is another great hangover cure. Drinking it is a way to rehydrate and replenish your potassium levels so add it to your smoothie or just sip it plain.
