A 2016 study from Cornell University looked at year-round weight patterns of nearly 3,000 people over the course of a year, and it found that Americans gained an average of 1.3lbs during the holiday season.
But don’t freak out just yet. With Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s a few weeks away, you have plenty of time to prevent holiday weight gain before it even starts.
