Do Pore Vacuums Work? We Don't Think They Suck!

In the seemingly never-ending quest for clear, glowing, healthy skin, we are willing to try almost anything. That means experimenting with every beauty fad, every cream, every exfoliator, massage brush and mask out there. And for anyone who has tried (and found something to be lacking with) pore strips, then this latest beauty trend is for you. Pore vacuum products are taking the blackhead-removing pore strips concept to another level. So do pore vacuums work? The reviews are somewhat mixed, but one thing is for sure, you’re going to be shocked at what comes out of your pores.

For many of us, skincare issues can be traced back to your pores, where dirt, oil, dead skin cells and bacteria can linger, causing blackheads and acne.

According to the American Academy of Dermatology, “acne appears when a pore in our skin clogs. This clog begins with dead skin cells,” which your body is not able to shed, resulting in a mix of dead skin and oil trapped inside the pores. Add some bacteria into the mix, and your pores are overloaded and become swollen, irritated and inflamed. Yes, that is what is happening when acne strikes.
